  • Detailed Itinerary

    Day 1: Marrakech → Essaouira

    We will meet you in Marrakech and drive west to Essaouira, the coastal city formerly known as Mogador. It is a UNESCO World Heritage city for its medina and fortified sea walls. Enjoy a stroll through the old town and some time on the beach before we find a hotel for the night.

    Day 2: Explore Essaouira

    Today is a day to relax and enjoy our time in Essaouira. The city offers many activities including quad rides, horseback riding along the beach, relaxing on the beach, shopping in the medina, and enjoying fresh seafood.

    Day 3: Essaouira-> Taroudant → Agadir

    After breakfast we will drive to Taroudant which is sometimes called “LIttle Marrakech” or the “Grandmother of Marrakech.” It was built over 500 years ago as a base from which Moroccans could attack the Portuguese - who built Essaouira. The city walls still stand. We can wander those, the two souks, and the medina. The nearby town of Tiout was the background to the movie Ali Baba and the Forty Thieves. They offer an optional donkey ride through the palm grove which is both impressive and relaxing. Please let us know if you are interested. After a day of exploration we will drive to our hotel in Agadir for dinner and a good night’s sleep.

    Day 4: Explore Agadir

    Today is set aside for exploring the city of Agadir - after a strong breakfast at the hotel, of course. As a coastal city, it offers a beautiful beach for walking, relaxing, jet skiing, or swimming. The souks have many great shops and restaurants. We can arrange boat rides if you are interested in that or, if you prefer, we can visit the Crocodile Park. . Sunset from the Oufla is a must-see followed by a starlit walk along the Corniche to end the day.

    Day 5: Agadir -> Marrakech

    After breakfast we will drive to Marrakech. The city was capital of the country several times since it was founded in 1070. There are many sites of historic and cultural interest to visit including the Saadian tombs, Majorelle Gardens, and Koutoubia Mosque. We will spend the afternoon exploring sites like those and ending, of course, in Jemaa el Fna, the nightly entertainment in the city’s main square.
